In the framework of the project “Culture for Future: Renovation of the Cultural Palace of Kukës, as a new multifunctional space for Global Citizenship Education and Green Opportunities for Youths”, implemented by Kukës Municipality in partnership with the Italian Association COSPE (Cooperazione per lo Sviluppo dei Paesi Emergenti) and co-funded by the IADSA Program and Kukës Municipality, a 6-day training on LAP (Local Adaptation Planning) has been conducted at the YEC Center of the local Cultural Palace “Hasan Prishtina”. “Youth groups have actively participated in each laboratory, sharing ideas and information about the impact of climate change in their territory and how to collaborate to find possible adaptation solutions to counter its effects. An official Youth Local Adaptation Planning document will be developed, and two youth initiatives on climate change and sustainability will ultimately be presented to Kukës Municipality and funded within the project.
Involving new generations is essential to foster awareness about the environment and the potential construction of a greener and more inclusive future!
